Dancing in the Dark is a non-profit, fundraising and social change campaign project created with the aim of forwarding the importance of celebrating, protecting, promoting and preventing the loss of dance music spaces across the UK.
Based in the form of a travelling clubnight, D.I.T.D visits some of the UK’s most underrated, underground, smaller and more intimate venues, lesser known in the EDM community. These venues are often located in areas that don’t have as strong of an EDM scene compared to larger, more populous cities and towns that are lucky to be in ownership of strong, thriving and unique scenes of their own. Often resulting in these venues struggling to stay open due to poor revenue, footfall and recognition.
These clubnights act as supportive, inclusive and local talent supporting shows, allowing venues to gain all revenue made inside the venue on the night as well as through ticket sales, helping to birth and grow a strong, community driven scene in said areas through the support of grassroots music, venues and local artists.
