Vinyl album art / sleeve design created as part of my submission to the Secret 7” competition in partnership with Warchild. Choosing from a list of carefully selected tracks from artists like, Gregory Porter, Scissor Sisters and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, I selected to create the album cover for the track; Warsong (Troxy Live 2024) by The Cure. Drawn in by Robert Smith’s iconic vocals, dark tones and raw, electric and haunting style I wanted to visually capture this atmosphere within my design, taking a more abstract and artistic approach to this design, by trying to represent the visuals pictured in my head whilst listening to the track.
(Inner sleeve was added to the design post submission as I wanted to flesh the design out more after being reinspired by the track after further listens)
